The financing is provided against mortgage on a Musharakah asset owned by the customer. Under the Personal Finance contract, the Bank will take joint ownership of the asset by purchasing a share, and then renting (or leasing) it back to the customer.

As a Personal Finance customer, you will get to buy back the Bank’s share through periodic payments. The contract is settled once the Bank’s share is completely repurchased.

If you are an Omani national or expatriate with your salary account at Dhofar Islamic, you are eligible to apply for financing.

Yes. The minimum finance amount for Personal Finance is OMR 1,000. However, the contract cannot be concluded before a minimum period of 6 months.

The maximum DBR or ratio of the monthly debt repayment instalments to monthly income, of the applicant is 50%, or 60% with Home Finance.

Deferment of instalment is permitted twice per year during Eid.
